Cloud Platform Engineering: APIs, Delivery, and Operations

I design and ship cloud-native platform systems that balance delivery velocity with operational safety. My focus areas are platform APIs, service foundations, CI/CD and release governance, migration-heavy modernization, observability, and cloud operations at multi-region production scale.

Cloud Platform Delivery Focus

Control Plane Architecture

I focus on control-plane designs that make asynchronous platform workflows understandable and repeatable. That includes command orchestration, durable execution, service integration boundaries, and operational workflows that support multiple teams at scale.

API Platform Delivery

I’ve built and maintained Java backend services and REST APIs for cloud-native systems, with emphasis on service contracts, integration reliability, rollout sequencing, and delivery patterns teams can reuse.

Migrations, Upgrades, and Cloud Operations

Platform evolution often means modernizing runtime baselines and delivery pipelines without compromising production stability. I’ve led multi-region upgrades and architecture transitions with careful sequencing, observability-first rollout controls, and operational readiness gates.

Representative Work

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)

Built distributed cloud services and shared platform capabilities for messaging and multitenant backend systems. Led architecture and implementation for reusable control-plane patterns used by multiple teams.

Starbucks Consumer Platform

Guided technical direction across backend/API efforts supporting high-scale customer experiences. Delivered architecture and integration work spanning loyalty, account, onboarding, and support services.

Consulting and Enterprise Delivery

Delivered backend and cloud solutions across Microsoft, Starbucks, and other enterprise clients, including API design, platform delivery practices, and internal engineering enablement.

This page is intentionally centered on cloud platform execution: APIs, platform tooling, migration programs, and production cloud operations.

The reading path here is deliberate: begin with the control-plane and backpressure primers, then move into the deeper platform architecture and latency-informed overload-control pieces.
